SPC Oil Only

Following "Oil Only" products are suitable for adsorbing: Oil and petroleum products. (see "Application list" ). "Oil Only" products float on water and don't take up water.

Note:

• Adsorption products can be fringed and do not swell. Thereby: fluid remains fluid and release of vapour still remains. 
• For low viscous fluids and chemicals we advise using our Imbiber Beads absorption products.

SPC Blue

SPC105, SPC155 en SPC155-2 sorbents are unique due to their durable, non fluffy blue enforced top layer. By that they are suitable for the most demanding applications.

Due to the blue enforced top layer the sorbents can be used at such places where other products fail. The high wear resistance enables easy cleaning of tools and work places without tear or getting fluffy.
SPC's enforced sorbents are further characterized by their handy punches, durability and dimensions. Besides that sorbents can be easily wrung or reused.

Oil Plus™

SPC’s new Oil Plus is highly effective in absorbing oil and petroleum products. A heavy weight dimpled material notable for its low linting, thickness and strength, Oil Plus does not pick up water. Suitable for industrial and environmental applications, Oil Plus is perforated to permit the use of precisely the right amount of material — whatever the job. Easily disposed of, Oil Plus is incinerable and leaves less than .02% ash. Available in two sizes of pads, and in two sizes each of perfed and unpunperfed rolls.

SPCtm Oil sorbents

When it’s time to clean up or remove oil on land or water, SPC Oil Sorbents are the best alternative. Convenient, light weight and cost-effective, SPC Oil Sorbents absorb up to 25 times its own weight in petroleum products. A little does a lot! Additionally, SPC Oil Sorbents are equally effective in soaking up petroleum based solvents and paints, vegetable oils, and other non-water soluble chemicals.

A single kg of SPC Oil Sorbents are the equivalent of 25 kg of clay, it makes deployment easy and saves time, money and effort. SPC Oil Sorbents will not absorb water, will float indefinitely, are wringable, dustless, unaffected by temperature, flame resistant and impervious to both rot and mildew. And it’s easy to dispose SPC Oil Sorbents because they incinerate to less than 0.02% ash. SPC Oil Sorbents are available in pads, booms, rolls, sweeps, pillows and particulate.

For use in areas or conditions where static electricity is a concern, SPC offers Static Resistant Oil Sorbents, available in pad and roll form.

Only Oil BattlematTM

Yet another innovative product has been developed by SPC. The Oil Only Battlemat is perfect for indoor and outdoor oil spillage problems. It has a unique triple layer design, which gives it high durability even in the toughest of applications. The top layer is made of brown camouflage for hiding stains and providing durability. The Middle layer is made of brown oil only meltblown for high absorbency. The third layer is a durable coating which gives this product tear strength even on most outdoor

This is truly the best combination of durability and absorbency available on the market today!

Trackmat

SPC’s Trackmat is the heaviest, thickest and most absorbent barrier mat available. Its unique, 3-ply construction includes an oil only polypropylene core, surrounded by an impenetrable barrier film that prevents sorbed liquids from leaching out, and a UV resistant coverstock. It is capable of absorbing nearly 12 litres of oil or other petroleum products per square meter.

Trackmat is the barrier of choice for outdoor locations where high absorbency and retention of petroleum based fluids is a must.

Originally designed for use between and outside railroad tracks, Trackmat is also widely used by transportation companies, utilities, refineries, steel mills, and in other environments in which a high absorbency barrier is required.Trackmat is available in rolls and pads.

ENV Oil Sorbents

New to the SPC product line, these contractor grade, oil-only sorbents are ideal for environmental applications. ENV Oil Sorbents comprise the best available basic meltblown polypropylene, and are available as pads, rolls, and booms in standard sizes and weights. ENV Oil Sorbents, packed in distinctive green bags, are an obvious choice when you need low cost plus high performance.

Oil NetsTM / Drag NetsTM

Flat, plastic filaments in half-pound units. SPC Oil Nets and Drag Nets float in water and entrap heavy oil that contacts the plastic tentacles. Oil Nets are suitable for reuse after draining or dousing with #1 or #2 weight oils. Extracted oil can be recycled or downgraded as fuel oil. Drag Nets consist of thirty oil nets attached to a 50-foot poly rope for recovery of heavy oil from water. Used as a sweep between two boats, or deployed along a shoreline.

SPC - Primasorb

High-absorbency Booms and Pillows

Agroup of very unique products include the Primasorb absorbent booms. These booms are made from a special melt blown polypropylene (MBPP) which we call "Watte". The difference between "Watte" and particulate is that particulate is usually ground up MBPP material where as "Watte" are continuous long fibers which make the need for extra inner linings unnecessary. This "Watte" facilitates and speeds up total saturation of the booms.

SPC Microfibers

One of the most interesting new products is the Microfiber. These fibers can be used to filter oil from water based liquids and moist air. We did a short feature on this product in our September 2000 newsletter but since then we have added several new packaging options to this line. This product, to which SPC holds the patent, is exclusively available through SPC distributors. The fibers come in short, thin strands which can be put into cartridges, cages or netting before use. The applications are endless and include paint filtration, pre-filter for compressors, water purification and filtration.

High absorbency Rolls and Drip-Pads

SPC has also re-defined the term "full weight" with our Primasorb 1400 line. These rolls are made from 1.100 g/m2 MBPP and come in three different sizes. The advantage of these High Weight rolls is that one does not need to change them as frequently as other oil absorbents.

The high weight also provides a softer more ergonomical floor to walk upon.
