High-quality, hollow and very strong plastic products are produced due to the pressure-less melting of polyethylene in a 3-dimensional rotating direction. Because of this products, free of tension are made. One of the requests we got from the dredging industry was to develop and create a new range of floats, which could comply with the high demands of the dredging industry.

Using the most up to date 3D engineering techniques and using the Finite Element Method (FEM) in combination with material testings Oil Control Systems developed a new range of floaters for the dredging industry in the past few years.

Using new materials in combination with many years of experience of the most well known dredgers in the world has resulted into the following new models, each designed for a certain application. With this high-tech range of floats we are able to provide a serious improvement on the existing range of floats. The A series

Especially for the use on inner waters for pipelines and hoses with a diameter of 200mm until 250mm. Due to the sloping walls this float will not jam behind obstacles. The grooves on the outside are intended for use with load locks. Off course nut and bold connections can be used. In the inside a groove is applied which is able to position the float on pre-assembled ribs on the pipeline or hose.

The AH and CH series

Specially developed for heavy-duty applications for inner- and also outer water. For the use on pipelines and hoses with a diameter of 220mm to 350mm that requires large buoyancy. The wide outside diameter in combinations with the length of 800mm provides even more buoyancy.

The tested and approved method of connecting the floats by means of nuts and bolts (M16) provides a multiple usable float and a long life span. The decision of using specially developed materials guarantees a float, which is strong but also very flexible and able to withstand extreme forces and impacts.

These heavy-duty models are used if volume, strength and stability are essential. Several options are included to simplify the maintenance and replacement of floats after years. The sloping walls result in extra firmness and optimise the tension control. Extra water grooves are included to make sure rain will not remain in the float to prevent corrosion of the pipe. With outer diameters of 1300 en 1540 mm and a length of 700 mm this float is optimised for transportation, in 20 and 40 feet containers.
