Dredging operations and harbour engineering have for many years been facing problems with dredging of bottom sediments resulting in heavy pollution of escaping volumes of water.

Our Ro-Boom silt curtain system is a new concept, in preventing this pollution. Its based on a world-famed and well-reputed oil containment boom, acting as the buoyancy part of the system. This is manufactured from higbly specifiek rubber compounds on the basis of Neoprene and Hypalon with reinforcement fabric of polyester / nylon combinations. It has a low storage volume and can easily be transported due to the inflatable chambers.

Low Cost type of Silt Screen System

OCS has developed a “Low cost” Silt Screen System which can be used in harbours, sheltered waters and other low current areas.
This system incorporate the possibility of using several type of floating / buoyancy materials like : Foam Filled PVC, Air based PVC or Plastic Oildrums.
The screen part is based on a PVC/PP textile with suitable water permeability and strength.
